Although we do not charge any additional fees for the initial training program, you are responsible for paying any wages due to your employees as well as travel, food and lodging expenses incurred by you and your employees during initial training.
These costs will depend on the distance you and your employees must travel and the type of accommodations you choose.
Also, you may have to pay a fee for attending any certification program required by state or local laws or regulations.
That fee is not payable to us.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a state or local law or regulation requires a certification program, the associated fee is not payable to Azal Coffee. The FDD mentions this in the context of initial training, where franchisees are responsible for their employees' wages, travel, food, and lodging expenses during training.
This means that while Azal Coffee does not charge additional fees for the initial training program itself, franchisees should be aware of potential certification requirements imposed by local authorities. These fees would be separate from the initial franchise fee of $25,000 and other estimated initial investment costs, such as the grand opening advertising which ranges from $3,000 to $6,000.
Prospective Azal Coffee franchisees should investigate local and state regulations to determine if any mandatory certification programs apply to their specific location. Understanding these requirements and associated costs is crucial for accurately estimating the total initial investment. The FDD also lists a range of $5,000 to $7,500 for professional services, business licenses, and miscellaneous expenses, which could potentially cover some permit costs, but certification program fees are separate and paid to a different entity.
