What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you lease the franchise location, you must sign two documents before opening your Azal Coffee franchise. These documents include Azal Coffee's standard Lease Addendum, which must be signed by both you and the landlord, and Azal Coffee's Collateral Assignment of Lease, which you alone must sign.

Azal Coffee retains the right to review and comment on your lease for the Franchise Location. However, Azal Coffee explicitly states that it will not evaluate nor be responsible for the commercial reasonableness or suitability of the lease. The responsibility for evaluating the commercial reasonableness and suitability of the lease rests solely with you, the franchisee.

Signing these documents is a prerequisite for opening your Azal Coffee franchise. Failing to do so could potentially delay or prevent the opening of your store. It is important to carefully review and understand the terms of both the Lease Addendum and the Collateral Assignment of Lease before signing.
