What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Azal Coffee's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the confidentiality agreement specifies the definition of "person." This definition is important because the agreement restricts employees or trainees from disclosing confidential information to any "person."

The agreement explicitly defines "person" as any "individual, company, partnership, business, corporation, or any other entity." This broad definition ensures that virtually any type of organization or individual that could potentially receive confidential information is covered under the agreement's restrictions.

For a prospective Azal Coffee franchisee, this definition highlights the importance of ensuring that their employees and trainees understand the scope of the confidentiality agreement. It clarifies that the obligation to protect confidential information extends to preventing disclosure to a wide range of recipients, not just individuals or direct competitors.
