What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee has the right to renew their franchise for one additional ten-year term if they have substantially complied with all agreements. This right is contingent upon meeting certain premises-related conditions.
The first condition is that the franchisee maintains possession of the current premises. This means the franchisee must continue to operate the Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant at the same location.
The second condition applies if the franchisee cannot maintain possession of the premises or if Aw believes the restaurant should be relocated. In this case, the franchisee must secure an approved substitute premises and agree to develop it according to Aw's current specifications and standards for new or renewal franchises. This ensures that even if the location changes, the restaurant will still meet Aw's brand standards.
