What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wishes to assign their franchise to a new owner, the assignee must complete the initial training program to Aw's satisfaction. This is a condition that must be met before Aw will approve the assignment.

The initial training program for a new Aw franchisee is approximately four weeks long and covers the operation of a Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant. Aw determines when and where the training will take place, and the length of the training may vary based on the franchisee's prior experience and other factors. Two owners and managers may attend the initial training program at no additional fee.

The assignee is responsible for all expenses associated with attending the initial training program, including travel, room, board, transportation, and wages. Aw also retains the right to require additional training or terminate the agreement if they determine that the franchisee or their approved owner is not qualified to manage a Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant.
