What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to make National Marketing Fund contributions on a weekly basis. Specifically, this contribution is due each Wednesday, covering the gross revenue from the preceding Monday through Sunday. The payment is facilitated through electronic transfer, ensuring a consistent and timely flow of funds.
The Marketing Fund contribution is set at two percent (2%) of the Gross Revenue of the Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant. This contribution is collected alongside the royalty fee, streamlining the payment process for franchisees. Gross Revenue is defined as the amount of all receipts from the sale of any and all food, beverages, merchandise or other products or services made and rendered in, on or from the Premises.
Aw has the right to discontinue or reestablish the Marketing Fund upon sixty (60) days advance notice to franchisees. In the event of discontinuation, any unspent amounts in the Marketing Fund will be distributed to franchisees in proportion to their contributions over the most recent six months. This ensures that franchisees receive a fair return of their contributions should the fund be terminated.
Franchisees must also make the weekly payments for the royalty fee, Marketing Fund contributions and any and all other fees that may become due and payable to Aw by either electronic transfer or electronic debiting of your business account, or in any other manner that Aw may hereinafter designate. Franchisees must execute authorization forms as are necessary for electronic transfer or debiting as soon as they have established a bank account for their Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant and shall execute any other documents as may be required from time to time by Aw to permit it to electronically transfer funds or debit your account for the purpose of making the required payments.
