What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the initial training program includes 5 hours of on-the-job training for prepping toppings. This training takes place in Chicago, IL.
The initial training program is 24 days long, six days a week for four weeks. The training will be at a restaurant owned by an Aw affiliate in Chicago, or at another location determined by Aw. Aw may adjust or eliminate certain portions of the training based on the franchisee's skills and experience.
While Aw does not charge a fee for the initial training program for up to 2 people, franchisees are responsible for all compensation, travel, lodging, and other living expenses incurred by them and any manager attending training. If Aw determines during the training program that a franchisee is not qualified to manage an Aw restaurant, they can require the franchisee to attend and successfully complete additional training or terminate the franchise.
