What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Aw will provide written notice of approval or disapproval of a proposed site within thirty (30) days after receiving the franchisee's written proposal and required documents.
This means that a prospective Aw franchisee must first find a suitable site for their Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant and submit a site evaluation form, a letter of intent, a proposed lease, or other evidence that confirms their favorable prospects for obtaining the proposed site. After Aw receives all the necessary documentation, they have 30 days to notify the franchisee of their decision.
It is important to note that Aw's approval of a site does not guarantee the success of the location. The FDD states that while Aw will use its experience in providing site selection assistance and in granting approval of a site, this should not be interpreted as a guarantee of success. Additionally, if the franchisee has not signed a lease for a site approved by Aw within 180 days from the date of the Franchise Agreement, Aw has the right to terminate the agreement.
