What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Aw Franchise Disclosure Document, Aw will provide written notice of approval or disapproval of a proposed site within thirty days of receiving the franchisee's written proposal and required documents. However, the FDD does not state that Aw will provide the reasons for disapproval of a site.

As a prospective franchisee, site selection is a critical step. The franchisee is responsible for leasing a suitable site for their Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant. Aw may provide site selection assistance at their discretion. The franchisee must submit a site evaluation form, a letter of intent, a proposed lease, or other satisfactory evidence to Aw for the proposed site.

Since the FDD does not specify that Aw must provide reasons for disapproving a site, it would be prudent for a prospective franchisee to ask Aw about their site selection criteria and the reasons they might disapprove a location. Understanding Aw's expectations can help the franchisee choose a site that is more likely to be approved, saving time and resources.
