What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a condition for approval of an assignment of a franchise agreement is that the proposed assignee completes the initial training program to Aw's satisfaction.
This means that if you, as a franchisee, want to sell your Aw franchise to someone else, that person must successfully complete Aw's training program. If the assignee does not complete the training program to Aw's satisfaction, the assignment will not be approved.
This requirement protects Aw by ensuring that any new owner is properly trained to operate the franchise according to Aw's standards. It also protects the brand's reputation and the interests of other franchisees in the system. Prospective franchisees should consider the time and effort required to complete the training program when evaluating the opportunity to purchase an existing Aw franchise.
