What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Aw Franchise Disclosure Document, Item 22 provides a table of contents for the Franchise Agreement. Specifically, Section 12 of the Franchise Agreement, found on page 23, contains information about advertising. Reviewing this section will help prospective Aw franchisees understand their obligations and the franchisor's expectations regarding advertising and marketing.

In addition to the Franchise Agreement, Aw franchisees contribute to a Marketing Fund. As outlined in Paragraph 10.3, franchisees contribute two percent (2%) of their Gross Revenue to the Marketing Fund. Aw manages this fund and decides on advertising, marketing, and promotions.

Aw has the option to discontinue or reestablish the Marketing Fund, providing franchisees with 60 days' notice. If the Marketing Fund is discontinued, the remaining funds will be distributed to franchisees based on their contributions over the previous six months. This fund is intended to support the goodwill and public image of Aw restaurants.
