What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must furnish evidence of required insurance coverage before opening their Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant for business. This is one of several conditions that must be met prior to opening. Other conditions include completing the build-out of the restaurant, ensuring the restaurant meets Aw's specifications for construction, equipment, decoration, and inventory, completing initial training, and paying the initial franchise fee in full.
This requirement ensures that the franchisee has obtained the necessary insurance policies to protect both their business and Aw from potential liabilities. The specific types and amounts of coverage required are likely detailed elsewhere in the FDD or in the Franchise Agreement.
It is important for prospective franchisees to carefully review the insurance requirements and obtain the necessary coverage in a timely manner to avoid any delays in opening their Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant. Franchisees should also confirm with Aw exactly what documentation is accepted as evidence of coverage.
