Are Aw employees allowed to make oral representations about financial performance?
Aw Franchise · 2025 FDDAnswer from 2025 FDD Document
We do not make any representations about a franchisee's future financial performance or the past financial performance of company-owned or franchised outlets. We also do not authorize our employees or representatives to make any such representations either orally or in writing. If you are purchasing an existing outlet, however, we may provide you with the actual records of that outlet. If you receive any other financial performance information or projections of your future income, you should report it to the franchisor's management by contacting John Rayyan at 8 McGlashen Drive, South Barrington, IL 60010, phone: 847-322-5666, the Federal Trade Commission, and the appropriate state regulatory agencies.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Aw does not authorize its employees or representatives to make any representations about a franchisee's future financial performance or the past financial performance of company-owned or franchised outlets, either orally or in writing.
This means that prospective franchisees should not rely on any financial performance claims made by Aw employees or representatives outside of the information provided in Item 19 of the FDD. If a potential franchisee is considering purchasing an existing outlet, Aw may provide the actual records of that outlet.
The FDD instructs potential franchisees to report any unauthorized financial performance information or projections they receive to Aw's management, the Federal Trade Commission, and the appropriate state regulatory agencies. This is to protect potential franchisees from misleading or inaccurate information.
This policy is typical in franchising, as franchisors want to control the financial information that is disseminated to potential franchisees to ensure accuracy and compliance with franchise regulations.
