What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees will receive on-site start-up assistance and training for a duration of three days. This assistance is provided by one of Aw's representatives at the franchisee's premises, specifically around the opening date of their Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant. The purpose of this on-site support is to train the franchisee, their owners, manager, and employees, and to help facilitate the restaurant's opening.
This on-site assistance is in addition to the initial training program of approximately four weeks that franchisees must complete prior to opening their Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant. The initial training covers the operation of a Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant and is held at Aw's offices, existing restaurants, or other designated locations. Two owners and managers can attend this initial training at no additional fee.
In addition to the initial and on-site training, Aw may also provide supplemental education through training, seminars, regional franchise meetings, or webinars. Attendance at these supplemental programs may be required, and Aw may charge a tuition fee for them. Franchisees are also responsible for covering all expenses incurred while attending these programs. Furthermore, franchisees, a principal owner, or their operating manager must attend Aw's Annual Conference each year, if one is held, and pay any associated registration fees and travel expenses.
