What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must make weekly payments for the royalty fee, Marketing Fund contributions, and any other fees due to Aw via electronic transfer or electronic debiting of their business account. However, Aw retains the right to designate other payment methods in the future.
This means that while electronic transfer or debiting are the standard methods, Aw has the flexibility to require different payment methods from franchisees. This could include methods like checks, wire transfers, or other electronic payment platforms.
For a prospective Aw franchisee, this implies that they should be prepared to adapt to potential changes in payment procedures as directed by Aw. It is important to maintain open communication with Aw regarding payment methods and to promptly execute any required authorization forms for new payment systems. Franchisees should clarify with Aw what alternative payment methods might be acceptable and under what circumstances those methods would be implemented.
