What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the decision to send a representative to a franchisee's Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant for additional guidance is at Aw's sole discretion. Aw may send a representative upon the franchisee's request, but they are not obligated to do so. If Aw does send a representative, it will be for a fee.
Aw may also require this additional guidance and assistance if the franchisee is not operating their Papa Ray's Pizza Restaurant in compliance with the Franchise Agreement. This means that Aw can mandate that a franchisee receive additional support, potentially at the franchisee's expense, if they are not meeting the brand's standards.
This discretionary assistance is in addition to the on-site start-up assistance and training that Aw provides for 3 days around the time the restaurant opens. This initial support is provided to the franchisee, their manager, and employees at no additional fee, as stated elsewhere in the FDD. The additional guidance being discretionary suggests that franchisees should be prepared to operate relatively independently after the initial training period, or be ready to pay for further assistance if needed.
