What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Aw's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Aw may charge tuition fees for supplemental training, seminars, meetings, or webinars. The FDD states that Aw may, from time to time, provide and require franchisees, owners, and/or managers to attend supplemental training, seminars, regional franchise meetings, or webinars. These events will be conducted at times and locations designated by Aw.

The document explicitly states that Aw may charge a tuition fee for these supplemental programs. In addition to the tuition fee, franchisees are responsible for all expenses incurred by themselves, their owners, and/or their managers in attending these programs. These expenses would likely include travel, accommodation, and other related costs.

This policy means that franchisees should budget not only for the direct costs of the franchise fee and royalties but also for ongoing training and development expenses. The franchisor retains the right to mandate attendance and charge for these events, making it essential for franchisees to factor these potential costs into their financial planning.
