What This Means (2024 FDD)

Based on the 2024 Auntie Annes Franchise Disclosure Document, the document does not specify any conditions under which Auntie Annes will provide on-site training at its own expense. The FDD states that Auntie Annes may require franchisees to obtain on-site training at any time, including before or after the opening date, or if the franchisee fails to comply with the System and Standards. However, the franchisee is typically responsible for covering the costs associated with on-site training.

The FDD indicates that Auntie Annes may charge a reasonable fee for on-site training, which could include daily or hourly fees for the trainers, as well as reimbursement for their travel and living expenses. These expenses encompass airfare, car expenses, lodging, and meals. Additionally, franchisees are generally responsible for covering all expenses incurred by themselves and their personnel for any training programs, including travel, food, lodging, compensation, and benefits.

Therefore, a prospective Auntie Annes franchisee should clarify with the franchisor during their due diligence process whether there are any specific circumstances where on-site training might be provided without cost to the franchisee. Understanding the full scope of training costs and potential scenarios for complimentary training is crucial for accurate financial planning.
