Can Auntie Annes revoke approval for materials displaying the Marks?
Auntie_Annes Franchise · 2024 FDDAnswer from 2024 FDD Document
No materials on which any of the Marks appears will be used by you without our prior written approval, which may be revoked at any time upon reasonable notice to you.
You must display the Marks in a manner that we specify on signage at the Franchised Business and on forms, advertising, supplies, employee uniforms, business cards, and other materials we designate.

What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Auntie Annes's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must obtain prior written approval from Auntie Annes for any materials displaying the brand's Marks. This approval is required before using the Marks on signage, forms, advertising, supplies, employee uniforms, business cards, and other designated materials.
The FDD emphasizes that Auntie Annes retains the right to revoke this approval at any time, provided they give reasonable notice to the franchisee. This means that even if a franchisee has previously received approval to use the Marks on certain materials, Auntie Annes can withdraw that approval, requiring the franchisee to discontinue using those materials.
This provision protects Auntie Annes's brand integrity and ensures consistent brand representation across all franchise locations. It also allows Auntie Annes to respond to changing market conditions or evolving brand standards by updating the way its Marks are displayed. For a prospective franchisee, this means they must remain flexible and prepared to update their materials as directed by Auntie Annes, even if those materials were previously approved.
