What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Auntie Annes's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, trainees are not permitted to attend the Management Training Program until certain conditions are met. Specifically, Auntie Annes requires that the franchisee provide a fully signed lease (if required) in a form approved by them, confirm that the Franchised Business is under construction, and provide evidence of the required insurance under the Franchise Agreement.
Furthermore, attendance is restricted to the eligible training period specified on Schedule A of the Franchise Agreement. These stipulations ensure that franchisees have a physical location secured and are prepared to meet the operational and financial obligations of the franchise before receiving comprehensive training.
These requirements are fairly standard in the franchise industry, as franchisors typically want to ensure that franchisees are fully committed and have met key preliminary milestones before investing significant training resources. Prospective Auntie Annes franchisees should carefully review Schedule A and ensure they understand the eligible training period to avoid delays in opening their franchise.
