What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Auntie Annes' 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the timing of when you must pay the Management Training Program fee depends on several factors. For the first two Auntie Annes franchises that you or your affiliates operate, the Management Training Program is provided to your Required Trainees at no additional charge. However, for the third and subsequent franchises, you must pay Auntie Annes their then-current Management Training Program fee for all Required Trainees if you are required to, or elect to, receive the training from them or their designee in a single training session.

Additionally, you must pay a reasonable training fee designated by Auntie Annes if you elect to bring additional trainees beyond the Required Trainees, if your Required Trainees are trained in separate sessions, or if any Required Trainees fail to complete the program and re-enroll or are replaced with new trainees. This fee also applies if Auntie Annes provides the Management Training Program to Subsequent Trainees, which are managers or other personnel hired after the franchise opens.

It's important to note that trainees cannot attend the Management Training Program until certain conditions are met. These conditions include providing Auntie Annes with a fully signed and approved lease (if required), ensuring the Franchised Business is under construction, providing evidence of required insurance, and being within the eligible training period specified on Schedule A. Furthermore, if the opening date changes and the Required Trainees completed the Management Training Program more than 120 days before the revised opening date, Auntie Annes may require additional training, and you may have to pay their then-current daily training fee for each Required Trainee.
