Answer from 2024 FDD Document

Payments of Comprehensive Support Fees will be drafted by Franchisor on behalf of Company from Franchisee's Designated Bank Account under Franchisor's electronic funds transfer or draft system ("EFT") one time per month on the same day that royalties and other fees due under the Franchise Agreement are first drafted for each month (the "Payment Date").

Payments shall commence on the Payment Date of the first (1st) full month following the Opening Date.

What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Auntie Annes's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, payments for Comprehensive Support Fees will start on the Payment Date of the first full month following the store's Opening Date. The Payment Date is the same day of the month that royalties and other fees are drafted from the franchisee's bank account.

This means that if an Auntie Annes store opens on any day of a particular month, the franchisee will not be charged Comprehensive Support Fees for that partial month. Instead, the fees will begin to be drafted on the Payment Date of the following month. For example, if a store opens on March 15th and the Payment Date is the 5th of each month, the first Comprehensive Support Fee payment will be drafted on May 5th.

It is important for prospective Auntie Annes franchisees to understand this payment schedule to properly manage their finances. Franchisees must ensure that sufficient funds are available in their Designated Bank Account to cover these fees, as well as any other amounts drafted by EFT under the Franchise Agreement and the Manuals. Failure to have sufficient funds may result in additional charges, including return costs from the bank and administrative fees from Auntie Annes.
