What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Auntie Annes's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if Auntie Annes withholds or revokes certification of a franchisee's Certified Training Location, they may require the franchisee's trainees to attend the Management Training Program at another location that Auntie Annes designates. Additionally, Auntie Annes may charge their then-current training fee, if any, for such training. This policy ensures that all trainees receive standardized training even if a Certified Training Location loses its certification.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that if their location's certification is revoked, they will need to send their trainees to a different, approved location for training. This could involve additional costs, such as travel and accommodation for the trainees, as well as the training fee charged by Auntie Annes. The franchisee will need to factor in these potential expenses when assessing the overall costs of operating an Auntie Annes franchise.
This requirement is in place to maintain the quality and consistency of training across all Auntie Annes locations. By ensuring that trainees receive proper training at a certified location, Auntie Annes aims to uphold its brand standards and operational procedures. Franchisees should be aware of the criteria for maintaining certification and take steps to ensure their training location remains compliant to avoid potential disruptions and additional costs.
