What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Auntie Annes's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if a franchisee wants to use a supplier or goods that Auntie Annes has not approved, the franchisee must submit a written request for approval. This request must include any information that Auntie Annes requests. Auntie Annes will then review the request and either approve or disapprove it.
This requirement allows Auntie Annes to maintain quality control and consistency across all franchise locations. By requiring franchisees to seek approval for new suppliers and goods, Auntie Annes can ensure that all products meet their standards and protect the brand's reputation.
For a prospective franchisee, this means that you cannot independently choose all of your suppliers. You are obligated to seek approval, which may add time and potential costs to your operations if your preferred supplier is not already approved. It is important to factor this requirement into your business planning and consider the potential impact on your supply chain and costs.
