What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Auntie Annes's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, contributions to the Advertising Cooperative are indeed in addition to the Advertising Contribution and Grand Opening Obligation. This means that franchisees must budget for these expenses separately.
The FDD specifies that any contributions a franchisee makes to an Advertising Cooperative are considered additional to the Advertising Contribution and the Grand Opening Obligation. This clarifies that these are distinct financial responsibilities for the franchisee.
This requirement has significant financial implications for prospective Auntie Annes franchisees. They need to factor in potential Advertising Cooperative dues on top of the mandatory Advertising Contribution and Grand Opening Obligation when assessing the overall cost of investment. Failing to account for these additional advertising expenses could strain a franchisee's budget and impact profitability.
