What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Auntie Anne's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if an Auntie Anne's franchise location is temporarily closed with the company's approval, the payment of Comprehensive Support Fees will be suspended. This suspension begins on the Payment Date of the first full month following the start of the closure, as determined and approved by Auntie Annes.
However, the reinstatement of these fees occurs on the Payment Date of the first full month following the date the closure ends, again subject to Auntie Anne's approval. This means that once the location reopens, franchisees will need to resume Comprehensive Support Fee payments starting the next full month's Payment Date.
It's important to note that Auntie Anne's reserves the right to reinstate these fees even during the closure period if the franchisee requests and Auntie Anne's provides support services during that time. Additionally, the franchisee is responsible for notifying Auntie Anne's and obtaining their approval for any temporary closure to ensure proper handling of fee suspensions and reinstatements.
