What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Auntie Annes's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, if you plan to operate a Full Shop, you will be required to sign the Auntie Anne's Franchise Agreement. The FDD specifies that this agreement is attached as Exhibit B. A Full Shop is defined as a location where you produce and sell the complete range of Auntie Anne's products, potentially including alcoholic beverages. These shops are typically situated in malls, travel plazas, airports, outlet centers, casinos, strip centers, storefronts, and train stations, among other retail locations.
This agreement is the standard contract that outlines the obligations, responsibilities, and rights of both the franchisee and Auntie Annes. It will cover various aspects of the franchise operation, such as the use of Auntie Anne's trademarks, operational standards, fees, and the term of the franchise. Prospective franchisees should carefully review Exhibit B to fully understand the terms and conditions they will be bound by when operating an Auntie Anne's Full Shop.
It is important to note that if you were to operate a different type of Auntie Anne's location, such as a Concession Shop or a Co-Branded Shop (with Cinnabon or Jamba), additional agreements or schedules would be required in addition to the standard Franchise Agreement. However, for a standard Full Shop, the Franchise Agreement is the primary document you will sign.
