What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Auntie Annes's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the Ad Fund can be used for quality assurance and food safety programs. The Ad Fund may cover the costs of administering and conducting national, local, or regional advertising, promotional, or brand-building programs. These programs can include quality assurance and food safety programs.

This means that Auntie Annes has the discretion to allocate funds from the Ad Fund to ensure that all franchise locations adhere to the brand's standards for quality and safety. This could involve training programs, inspections, or other measures designed to maintain consistency and protect the brand's reputation.

For a prospective franchisee, this is beneficial because it demonstrates Auntie Annes's commitment to maintaining high standards across all locations. It also suggests that the franchisee may receive support and resources from the Ad Fund to help them comply with quality and safety requirements. However, franchisees should be aware that Auntie Anne's has sole authority over the use of the Ad Fund, and there is no guarantee that funds will be allocated specifically to benefit any individual franchise location.
