What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Aunt Millies Bakeries' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a distributor is generally not prohibited from carrying merchandise for other companies. However, there are specific limitations to this allowance. The distributor cannot carry and distribute merchandise for other companies if such merchandise is competitive with products distributed by Aunt Millies Bakeries.
Additionally, a distributor cannot carry other merchandise if it could contaminate Aunt Millies Bakeries' products. The distributor also cannot engage in other business activities that are inconsistent with or interfere with their obligations under the distribution agreement with Aunt Millies Bakeries.
In summary, while Aunt Millies Bakeries allows distributors to carry other merchandise, this is conditional. The distributor must ensure that these other products do not compete with Aunt Millies Bakeries' products, do not pose a contamination risk, and do not interfere with the distributor's obligations to Aunt Millies Bakeries.
