What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Augusta Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must provide the final accounting for their Augusta Lawn Care business within 30 days after the termination of the franchise agreement. This obligation is part of the franchisee's responsibilities following the end of the agreement.
In addition to providing the final accounting, the franchisee is also required to pay Augusta Lawn Care any outstanding payments due. They must also return the operations manual and any other property belonging to Augusta Lawn Care. The franchisee must cease operating the Augusta Lawn Care business immediately and discontinue using any marks or systems associated with the brand.
These post-termination obligations are standard in franchising to ensure a clean break and protect the franchisor's brand and system. Franchisees should be aware of these requirements and plan accordingly to avoid any penalties or legal issues after the agreement ends. Failing to meet these obligations could result in further action from Augusta Lawn Care to recover outstanding debts or protect its intellectual property.
