What This Means (2025 FDD)
The 2025 Augusta Lawn Care Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) does not explicitly state which section of the Franchise Agreement outlines the franchisee's pre-opening purchase/lease obligations. However, Item 11 discusses the franchisor's pre-opening obligations and references several sections of the Franchise Agreement related to territory designation and operational assistance. It mentions that it is not expected that franchisees will operate from a physical location that is approved by Augusta Lawn Care.
To fully understand the franchisee's pre-opening purchase/lease obligations, a prospective franchisee should carefully review the referenced sections within Item 11, specifically Sections 4.2, 5, 5.1, and 7.2 of the Franchise Agreement. These sections may contain information about territory, marketing initiatives, and operational assistance, which could indirectly relate to pre-opening purchase or lease requirements.
Since the FDD does not directly address pre-opening purchase/lease obligations, it is essential for potential Augusta Lawn Care franchisees to ask the franchisor directly about any required or recommended purchases or leases necessary to start the business. This inquiry should cover equipment, software, or any other assets needed to begin operations, as well as the expected costs and any approved vendors.
