What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Augusta Lawn Care Franchise Disclosure Document, Augusta Lawn Care is not required to spend any amount on advertising in a franchisee's territory. However, Augusta Lawn Care may, at its sole discretion, choose to spend money on advertising in a franchisee's territory.
While franchisees are not obligated to spend on local advertising, if they choose to do so, they must submit all media and materials to Augusta Lawn Care for approval, unless the materials have been approved before or provided by Augusta Lawn Care. If a franchisee does not receive written or oral approval of submitted materials within 30 days, the materials are considered disapproved. Augusta Lawn Care retains the right to require a franchisee to withdraw or discontinue the use of any promotional materials or advertising, even if previously approved, provided this requirement is made in writing, and the franchisee has 5 days to comply.
Augusta Lawn Care does not require franchisees to participate in a local or regional advertising cooperative, nor do they require contribution to the National Advertising and Development Fund. Augusta Lawn Care may establish websites to advertise the system and franchise opportunity and may provide franchisees with a listing for their location or a web page to promote their business, if the franchisee provides the requested information. The system standard will apply to any website advertising.
