What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Augusta Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the questionnaire that prospective franchisees complete includes a section for explaining any negative responses. The purpose of this questionnaire is to ensure that no unauthorized or untrue statements or promises have been made to the franchisee. It also confirms that the franchisee has been properly represented during the transaction and understands the limitations on claims related to purchasing and operating the franchise.
The questionnaire aims to verify that the prospective Augusta Lawn Care franchisee has received accurate information and that any concerns or deviations from standard representations are documented. This process protects both the franchisee and the franchisor by ensuring transparency and informed consent.
The FDD specifies that the questionnaire cannot be signed on the same day the Franchise Disclosure Document is received. However, it must be signed and dated on the same day the Franchise Agreement is signed and the initial franchise fee is paid. This timing ensures that the franchisee's responses reflect their understanding just before committing to the franchise. If a prospective franchisee answers "No" to any of the questions, they are required to provide an explanation in the provided table, allowing Augusta Lawn Care to address any potential issues or misunderstandings before the agreement is finalized.
