What This Means (2025 FDD)
Based on the 2025 Augusta Lawn Care Franchise Disclosure Document, the continuation of territorial exclusivity depends on certain conditions. Augusta Lawn Care can terminate the Franchise Agreement immediately if a franchisee has more than five open customer complaints unresolved to the Franchisor's satisfaction within ten days.
Additionally, Augusta Lawn Care may terminate the agreement if a franchisee has multiple negative uncured online reviews that have not been resolved to the Franchisor's satisfaction. Termination can also occur if the franchisee is in default of any provision of the Franchise Agreement past any applicable cure period.
Furthermore, if another franchisee purchases an exclusive territory in the area where a non-exclusive franchisee operates, the non-exclusive franchisee agrees to relinquish the rights to acquire new customers in that territory once it becomes the exclusive franchisee's territory. These stipulations highlight the importance of maintaining customer satisfaction, managing online reputation, and adhering to the Franchise Agreement to ensure the continuation of territorial rights and avoid termination.
