Must Augusta Lawn Care franchisees comply with the standards and specifications for websites that Augusta Lawn Care prescribes?

You shall comply with the standards and specifications for Websites that Augusta Lawn Care may periodically prescribe in the Manual or otherwise in writing;
- (g) If required by Augusta Lawn Care, You shall establish such hyperlinks to Augusta Lawn Care's Website and other Websites as Augusta Lawn Care may request in writing; and
- (h) You shall not make any posting or other contribution to a Networking Media Site relating to Augusta Lawn Care, the System, the Proprietary Marks, or the Franchised Business that: (i) is derogatory, disparaging, or critical of Augusta Lawn Care; (ii) is offensive, inflammatory, or indecent; (iii) harms the goodwill and public image of the System and/or the Proprietary Marks; or (iv) violates Augusta Lawn Care's policies relating to the use of Networking Media Sites.

What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Augusta Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must adhere to the standards and specifications for websites as prescribed by Augusta Lawn Care. Augusta Lawn Care retains significant control over a franchisee's web presence. Unless Augusta Lawn Care provides written approval, franchisees cannot establish a separate website. However, Augusta Lawn Care has the right to require franchisees to have references or webpages within Augusta Lawn Care's principal website, which is www.augustalawncareservices.com.
If Augusta Lawn Care approves a separate website for a franchisee, that website remains subject to Augusta Lawn Care's prior review and approval. Before establishing any website, franchisees must submit a sample of the proposed domain name, format, visible content (including screen shots), and non-visible content (including meta tags) for Augusta Lawn Care's written approval.
Furthermore, franchisees must comply with the standards and specifications for websites that Augusta Lawn Care may periodically prescribe in the Manual or in writing. Franchisees must also establish hyperlinks to Augusta Lawn Care's website and other websites as Augusta Lawn Care may request in writing. Franchisees are prohibited from making any postings or contributions to a Networking Media Site that are derogatory, disparaging, critical, offensive, inflammatory, or indecent towards Augusta Lawn Care, the System, the Proprietary Marks, or the Franchised Business.
