What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Augusta Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are indeed solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This encompasses federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Additionally, franchisees must adhere to Augusta Lawn Care's policies, practices, and decisions related to the operation of their Augusta Lawn Care business.
This means that an Augusta Lawn Care franchisee must stay informed about and ensure their business operations comply with a wide range of legal requirements. These requirements could include, but are not limited to, business licensing, labor laws, environmental regulations, and consumer protection laws. The franchisee's responsibility extends to understanding and implementing Augusta Lawn Care's internal policies and practices as well.
Furthermore, the FDD emphasizes that the franchisee's relationship with Augusta Lawn Care is that of an independent entity. Franchisees cannot represent themselves as employees, partners, or representatives of Augusta Lawn Care, and they cannot act in a way that suggests they have the power to bind Augusta Lawn Care to any liability. This reinforces the franchisee's independent responsibility for legal compliance and business decisions.
