What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Augusta Lawn Care Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to submit copies of all advertising materials they propose to use. This submission must occur at least two weeks before the materials are first broadcast or published. Augusta Lawn Care will then review these materials and promptly notify the franchisee in writing whether the materials are approved or rejected. The franchisor agrees to not unreasonably withhold approval.
Advertising materials that only differ from previously approved materials in variables such as date or price are considered to be previously approved. However, even if Augusta Lawn Care initially approves specific advertising materials, it retains the right to withdraw its approval later. This withdrawal can occur at Augusta Lawn Care's discretion, especially if it believes it is necessary to ensure the advertising conforms to changes in the Augusta Lawn Care system or to correct unacceptable features, including any misrepresentation in the advertising material.
This requirement ensures that all advertising by Augusta Lawn Care franchisees aligns with the brand's standards and legal requirements. It also allows Augusta Lawn Care to maintain control over its brand image and marketing strategies, while providing franchisees with feedback and guidance on their advertising efforts. Prospective franchisees should be aware of this requirement and factor in the time needed for advertising review when planning their marketing campaigns.
