What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Augusta Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the form for the Nondisclosure, Nonsolicitation, and Noncompetition Agreements that franchisees must obtain from their related parties and employees is included as Exhibit E to the Franchise Agreement. Additionally, a sample confidentiality agreement is provided as Exhibit F to the Augusta Lawn Care Franchise Agreement.

This means that as a franchisee, you are responsible for ensuring that your employees and related parties sign these agreements to protect Augusta Lawn Care's confidential information and trade secrets. You must also provide Augusta Lawn Care with a copy of each signed agreement upon request.

The confidentiality agreement is crucial for protecting Augusta Lawn Care's proprietary information, including marketing plans, trade secrets, and the operating manual. By having employees and related parties sign these agreements, Augusta Lawn Care aims to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information that could harm the franchise system. This is a fairly standard practice in franchising, as franchisors need to protect their intellectual property and maintain a competitive advantage.

Prospective franchisees should carefully review Exhibit E and Exhibit F to understand the specific terms and conditions of these agreements and ensure they are prepared to implement them within their business. Understanding these requirements is essential for maintaining compliance with the franchise agreement and protecting the interests of both the franchisee and Augusta Lawn Care.
