What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 FDD, the financial performance representations for Augusta Lawn Care are based on actual results from existing franchisees. Specifically, Table 2 highlights the 40% of Augusta Lawn Care owners who did not have a lawn care background prior to joining. These locations were opened between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, with no transfer of ownership, and were not converted from existing lawn care businesses. These results represent sales of products and services similar to those that will be available for a franchisee to sell and/or offer. The FDD notes that the results reported by franchisees that operated in 2024 are unaudited.
It is important to note that these figures are not a guarantee of future performance. The FDD explicitly states that individual results may vary, and there is no assurance that a new franchisee will earn as much as the existing ones. The FDD recommends that prospective franchisees conduct their own independent investigation to determine the potential profitability of the franchise and consult with a financial advisor or accountant.
While Augusta Lawn Care provides written substantiation of the data used in preparing these sales figures upon reasonable request, prospective franchisees should still perform thorough due diligence. This includes verifying the data with current franchisees, analyzing market conditions in their specific area, and carefully considering their own financial situation and capabilities. Relying solely on the franchisor's representations without independent verification can be risky.
