What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Augusta Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the financial results reported by franchisees operating in 2024 are unaudited. This means that the figures presented in Item 19, which details the financial performance representations, have not been verified by an independent accounting firm. As a result, prospective franchisees should approach these figures with caution and conduct their own due diligence.
It is standard practice in the franchise industry for franchisors to include financial performance representations in their FDDs to give potential franchisees an idea of possible earnings. However, the lack of an audit means that Augusta Lawn Care has not had an independent third party verify the accuracy of the data reported by its franchisees. This does not necessarily mean the data is inaccurate, but it does suggest a higher level of risk for the prospective franchisee.
Given that the financial results are unaudited, Augusta Lawn Care recommends that franchisees make their own independent investigation to determine whether the franchise may be profitable to them. They strongly suggest consulting a financial advisor or personal accountant concerning financial projections, as well as federal, state, and local income taxes and any other applicable taxes that may be incurred while operating the business. Augusta Lawn Care will make written substantiation of the data used in preparing these sales figures available upon reasonable request.
Prospective franchisees should consider this lack of independent verification when evaluating the potential profitability of an Augusta Lawn Care franchise. It would be prudent to request and carefully review the written substantiation of the data and to seek professional financial advice before making a final investment decision.
