What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to the 2025 Augusta Lawn Care Franchise Disclosure Document, a franchisee must submit copies of all advertising materials they propose to use to Augusta Lawn Care at least two weeks before the materials are broadcast or published. Augusta Lawn Care will then review the submitted materials within a reasonable time frame and promptly notify the franchisee in writing whether the materials are approved or rejected. Augusta Lawn Care states that it will not unreasonably withhold approval.
Advertising materials that only differ from previously approved materials in variables such as date or price are considered to be previously approved. This allows franchisees to make minor adjustments to existing campaigns without requiring a full resubmission and review process. However, Augusta Lawn Care retains the right to withdraw approval of previously approved materials at its discretion if it believes it is necessary to conform to changes in the Augusta Lawn Care system or to correct unacceptable features of the advertising, including any misrepresentation in the advertising material.
This requirement ensures that all advertising and marketing efforts by Augusta Lawn Care franchisees align with the brand's standards and comply with legal regulations. It also allows Augusta Lawn Care to maintain consistency in its messaging and protect its brand image. Prospective franchisees should factor this review period into their marketing timelines to avoid delays in launching advertising campaigns.
