What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Augusta Lawn Care's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees must take immediate action to correct any deficiencies found during inspections. Augusta Lawn Care, or its agents, can conduct quality control and record inspections at any time, with or without prior notice. These inspections aim to protect and enhance the Augusta Lawn Care brand. Franchisees are required to cooperate with inspectors, allowing them access to the business premises, records, and personnel.
If an inspection reveals non-compliance with the Franchise Agreement, the Manual, or Augusta Lawn Care's standards, the franchisee is considered in breach of contract. Augusta Lawn Care has the right to terminate the agreement if the franchisee fails to correct the breach within the given notice and cure periods. This underscores the importance of maintaining Augusta Lawn Care's standards to avoid potential termination.
Furthermore, franchisees may be required to reimburse Augusta Lawn Care for the time and travel expenses of its representatives if a repeat inspection is necessary due to uncorrected violations. This financial implication serves as an additional incentive for franchisees to promptly address any identified issues. The franchisor also evaluates customer satisfaction through evaluation cards or forms, and failure to meet Augusta Lawn Care's standards in customer feedback can also lead to breach of contract and potential termination if improvements are not made.
