Who is responsible for provisioning, monitoring, and managing the FreedomPay infrastructure used by Atwell Suites?

According to Atwell Suites' 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, FreedomPay is responsible for the FreedomPay infrastructure. Specifically, FreedomPay owns, operates, and is responsible for provisioning, monitoring, and managing the infrastructure, as well as providing support to FreedomPay customers. The FreedomPay infrastructure is physically located on servers in a dedicated or locked caged at one of the many data centers in the FreedomPay network, which provide power, network, and carrier services.

FreedomPay's responsibilities extend to maintaining the physical security of the data centers, including measures such as on-premises security guards, closed-circuit video monitoring, and intrusion protection. Access to these data centers is limited to authorized personnel only, verified through identity verification measures. FreedomPay also maintains a support team with access to systems and applications for maintenance, support, and application health monitoring, accessible upon customer request via their support system.

This arrangement means that Atwell Suites franchisees rely on FreedomPay for the technical aspects of the payment processing infrastructure. However, the franchisee is responsible for maintaining the security of their own login information and for obtaining any necessary consumer consents related to FreedomPay's services, as required by law. Additionally, the hotel must configure its e-commerce system to transmit full SKU level data with each transaction, as failure to do so may adversely affect FreedomPay's systems and potentially lead to a suspension of access.
