What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to the 2025 Atwell Suites Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are required to purchase broadband Internet access for the hotel. Specifically, Atwell Suites requires franchisees to purchase broadband Internet access to establish the primary wide area network (WAN) link. This WAN link serves as the primary method for the hotel to communicate with Atwell Suites' systems.

Atwell Suites may install or cause to be installed a wide area network (WAN) and WAN Hardware for the Hotel's use in communicating with IHG's systems. Atwell Suites has the right to determine the optimal method of access based upon the Software and Hardware located at the Hotel and the telecommunications and other services available to the franchisee. The franchisee will not acquire any ownership interest in the Hardware related to or installed in connection with the WAN.

While the franchisee is responsible for the primary WAN link, Atwell Suites' WAN link will be used as a backup if the primary WAN link fails. This ensures continuous connectivity and minimizes disruptions in communication between the hotel and Atwell Suites' central systems. The franchisee must ensure that only WAN Hardware that meets Atwell Suites' specifications and configurations is installed or connected to the reservation system.
