What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Apricot Lane's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, Apricot Lane does not receive any rebates from InterWest Service for insurance sold to franchisees. However, franchisees are required to obtain insurance that meets Apricot Lane's standards, as detailed in the Confidential Operations Manual.
Apricot Lane designates InterWest Insurance Services as its preferred provider. Franchisees must first obtain a quote from InterWest for the required insurance coverage. After receiving a quote from InterWest, franchisees are allowed to solicit quotes from other insurance companies. InterWest then has the opportunity to match any other competitive quotes, and franchisees are obligated to use InterWest Insurance Services if they provide prices that are competitive.
Franchisees must maintain insurance policies that protect both themselves and Country Visions, including their officers, directors, partners, and employees, against any loss, liability, personal injury, death, property damage, or other expenses related to the franchised business. Country Visions must be specified as an additional insured on these policies. The insurance policies must be written by a company licensed in the state where the franchisee operates and have at least an "A" rating classification as indicated in Best's Key rating guide, in accordance with the standards and specifications stated in the Confidential Operations Manual.
