What This Means (2025 FDD)

According to Apricot Lane's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are initially given a certain period to secure a suitable site for their store. The exact duration of this initial period is not specified in the document. However, if a franchisee needs more time, extensions to this period may be granted. These extensions are given in increments of three calendar months.

These extensions are not guaranteed; Apricot Lane has the sole discretion to approve or deny any extension request. The extension must be documented through a written letter from Apricot Lane to the franchisee, which the franchisee must then accept in writing.

If a suitable site is not secured and approved within the initial timeframe or any granted extensions, Apricot Lane has the right to terminate the Franchise Agreement. In such a case, Apricot Lane will retain the $5,000 installment on the initial franchise fee that the franchisee has already paid. This highlights the importance of securing a location within the given timeframe to avoid potential financial loss and termination of the franchise agreement.
