What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Apricot Lane's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchisor will provide the franchisee with the form of the new Franchise Agreement at least 90 days before the renewal term is scheduled to begin. However, the franchisee must sign and return this agreement to Apricot Lane at least 60 days before the current franchise term expires.
This means an Apricot Lane franchisee has a 30-day window to review, negotiate (if possible), and sign the renewal agreement. Failure to sign the agreement within this timeframe will result in the automatic expiration of the franchise at the end of the current term.
It is important to note that the terms of the renewal franchise agreement may differ from the original agreement. These differences can include variations in royalty percentages, advertising contributions, or other fees. However, the franchisee will not be required to pay the then-current initial franchise fee or its equivalent upon renewal.
