What This Means (2025 FDD)
According to Apricot Lane's 2025 Franchise Disclosure Document, franchisees are generally responsible for all expenses associated with attending continuing training programs. This includes any continuing or additional training programs that Apricot Lane may require the franchisee and their managers to attend.
Specifically, the franchisee is responsible for all expenses of attendance at these programs. However, Apricot Lane will not require attendance at more than two such programs in any calendar year, and these programs will not collectively exceed six business days in duration during any calendar year. Apricot Lane will not impose tuition or other fees for mandatory additional training for anyone whose attendance is required, but may charge tuition and fees for other additional training.
Additionally, if Apricot Lane requires a franchisee to attend a training course as a condition of approving the renewal of the franchise term, the franchisee will be responsible for all expenses related to travel, lodging, and other living costs while attending the training course. Franchisees are also responsible for all expenses when attending national conventions, conferences, seminars, or training, and may be required to pay a reasonable conference fee to Apricot Lane to defray the franchisor's expenses of organizing and hosting these events.
