What This Means (2024 FDD)
According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, Aplus retains the right to modify standards or specifications for individual franchisees based on specific factors. These factors include the franchisee's qualifications, the unique characteristics of the site, specific circumstances, the demographics of the trade area, the business potential, existing business practices, or any other condition that Aplus considers important for the successful operation of a particular franchised business.
This flexibility allows Aplus to tailor its approach to different locations and franchisees, potentially optimizing performance based on local conditions. However, it also means that standards and specifications can vary across different Aplus franchises.
It is important to note that Aplus is not obligated to extend similar variances to other franchisees. This means that a franchisee who receives a variance for a specific reason cannot assume that other franchisees will receive the same variance, even if their circumstances are similar. This clause provides Aplus with significant discretion in how it applies its standards and specifications across the franchise system.
