What This Means (2024 FDD)

According to Aplus's 2024 Franchise Disclosure Document, the franchise fee is generally non-refundable but there are limited circumstances where a refund may be issued. Specifically, Aplus may refund the franchise fee if it chooses not to execute the Franchise Agreement for any reason. Additionally, refunds may be available under conditions specified in Attachment 1 of the Franchise Agreement.

This means that a prospective Aplus franchisee is typically not entitled to a refund of the franchise fee once the agreement is executed. However, there are two potential exceptions: if Aplus decides not to proceed with the agreement, or if Attachment 1 outlines specific refund conditions. Attachment 1 is not included in the provided excerpts.

It is important for a potential Aplus franchisee to carefully review the Franchise Agreement and Attachment 1 to fully understand the conditions under which a franchise fee refund may be possible. They should also seek clarification from Aplus regarding any specific circumstances that might warrant a refund, and consult with a legal professional to fully understand their rights and obligations.
